1. Introduction
DailyReportr+ (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains the information processed when you use the DailyReportr+ mobile application, web application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
DailyReportr+ is published by Lab Architect and distributed on the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad, on Google Play for Android, and as a web application at app.dailyreportrplus.com. This policy applies to all three.
We do not sell personal information, serve third-party advertising, or track users across other companies’ apps or websites. DailyReportr+ contains no advertising, analytics, attribution, or crash-reporting software development kit of any kind.
2. Information we process
Information you provide
- Account information, such as your name and email address.
- Project information, including names, addresses, descriptions, schedules, and status.
- Daily reports, field notes, crew and labor records, tasks, equipment, materials, safety observations, and signatures.
- Photos, attachments, and other project media you choose to upload.
- Profile preferences, company profile details, and support communications.
Operational information
- Sign-in and account events, such as sign-in attempts, password changes, and account deletion requests, recorded so we can secure accounts and investigate abuse.
- Network information, such as the IP address your request arrives from, used for security and service delivery.
We do not collect crash reports, performance metrics, or product usage analytics. No such software is present in the app on any platform, so there is nothing collecting that information to disclose.
Device and advertising identifiers
DailyReportr+ does not collect advertising identifiers. The Android app does not request the AD_ID permission, so Google’s advertising ID is not available to it, and the app never asks for Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission or reads Apple’s identifier for advertisers. We do not build advertising profiles and do not participate in cross-app tracking.
Location information
DailyReportr+ does not request location permission on any platform, and cannot read your device’s GPS position. The Android app declares no location permission, and the iOS app declares no location usage description, so the operating system will never prompt you for location access.
Location nevertheless reaches the Service by two routes you control:
- Addresses you type. When you enter a project address, the app converts it to map coordinates using the geocoding service built into your device’s operating system — Apple on iOS and iPadOS, Google on Android. That address is sent to your platform’s geocoder under its own privacy policy. The resulting coordinates are stored with your project so it can be shown on a map and so weather can be recorded for the site.
- Photos. A photo you attach to a daily report is re-encoded to a bounded JPEG before it leaves your device, and that re-encoding does not preserve embedded camera metadata, so any GPS coordinates written by your camera are discarded. The single cover photo you can add while creating a project is uploaded as selected, without re-encoding. If that image carries GPS coordinates in its embedded metadata, they are uploaded with it. Remove location data from an image before selecting it if you would rather it not be.
Voice dictation
Field notes and observations can be dictated instead of typed. Dictation uses the speech recognition built into your device’s operating system, which requires microphone and speech recognition permission and may transmit audio to Apple or Google for transcription under their own privacy policies. DailyReportr+ receives only the resulting text. We do not record, store, or upload audio.
3. How we use information
- Provide, authenticate, operate, and maintain the Service.
- Store and synchronize authorized project records across devices.
- Create, display, and export daily reports and project documentation.
- Process subscriptions and determine feature access.
- Respond to support requests and service communications.
- Protect the Service, investigate errors, and prevent abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. Storage and security
Local storage
DailyReportr+ stores project information locally on your device so that field work continues when connectivity is unreliable, and synchronizes it when a connection returns.
Cloud infrastructure
Authorized account and project records are synchronized through Cloudflare infrastructure, including its database and object-storage services. Network traffic is protected with encrypted connections, and the Android app disallows cleartext traffic entirely. Access controls are designed to scope records to authorized users.
Security limits
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no system or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Protect your credentials and notify support if you suspect unauthorized access.
5. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose information only:
- At your direction or with your consent.
- To the infrastructure, authentication, payment, and support providers listed below, which process information in order to operate the Service.
- When required by law, legal process, or a valid government request.
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of DailyReportr+, our users, or others.
- As part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.
These are the third parties DailyReportr+ actually contacts:
- Cloudflare — hosting, database, and file storage for your account and project records.
- RevenueCat — subscription management and entitlement verification on every platform. See section 6.
- Apple, Google, and Stripe — payment processing, depending on where you subscribed. See section 6.
- Apple and Google platform services — address geocoding and speech recognition, as described in section 2. These run through your device’s operating system.
- OpenWeatherMap — weather conditions for a project location, requested using the project’s coordinates so that a report can record the weather on site.
- OpenStreetMap — map tiles for the project map. Your device requests tiles for the area being viewed.
- Google Fonts — the app’s typeface may be fetched at runtime, which discloses your IP address to Google as with any request for a web resource.
- Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple — only if you choose one of those sign-in methods.
We do not use an advertising network, an analytics provider, an attribution provider, or a crash-reporting provider, because the app integrates none.
6. Subscriptions, purchases, and platform services
DailyReportr+ sells subscriptions through three storefronts, and the storefront that took your payment determines who holds your payment records.
- Google Play is the merchant of record for purchases made in the Android app. Google processes the payment, holds the order and subscription history on your Google account, and applies its own privacy policy.
- Apple is the merchant of record for purchases made in the iPhone and iPad apps. Apple processes the payment and holds the purchase history on your Apple Account.
- Stripe processes payments for subscriptions bought through the web application, by way of RevenueCat’s web billing.
RevenueCat is our subscription-management provider on all three platforms. It verifies with the relevant store that a purchase is valid and tells the app which features you are entitled to. When you are signed in, DailyReportr+ sends RevenueCat your DailyReportr+ account identifier so that your subscription follows your account rather than a single device. We do not send RevenueCat your name, your email address, or any project content, and we do not enable its collection of device advertising identifiers.
Restoring a purchase. On Android, your entitlement is restored through the Google account signed in to the Play Store on the device. On iOS and iPadOS, it is restored through your Apple Account. On the web, it follows the account you subscribed with.
Cancellations and refunds. A subscription is cancelled through the store that sold it, not through us — Google Play on Android, Apple on iOS and iPadOS, and your web billing account on the web. Refunds are handled by the store that took the payment. We are not the merchant of record on either mobile platform and cannot issue a store refund on your behalf.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Deleting your account from within the app removes your personal data immediately; a deletion requested by email is completed within 30 days. In both cases we keep security and billing logs with your identity removed, and a non-reversible record that the deletion took place, where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes, preventing fraud, and meeting accounting obligations. Our account deletion page itemizes exactly what is deleted and what is kept.
Purchase records held independently by Google Play, Apple, RevenueCat, and Stripe are outside our control and we cannot delete them. Certain records may also remain in protected backups until those backups age out of rotation, or be retained where legally required.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email support@dailyreportrplus.com. We may verify your identity before completing a request. To close your account or have your data erased, see our account deletion page.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can address it.
10. International processing
Information may be processed in countries other than your place of residence. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international processing.
11. California privacy notice
California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, or delete certain personal information and to receive equal service when exercising privacy rights. DailyReportr+ does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service or applicable law changes. We will post the revised policy and update the date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service.
